Hey gang,
So I bought my first Stang! Yahoo!

So it's a 2004 and pretty low mileage for my area. It's literally mint condition from what I've seen and will do a deeper dive once I get it plated and home in the next few days. The hood and trunk are both fiberglass. Seems aftermarket to me but are they factory? Doubt it but this is my first Mustang so I figured I'd ask.

Cheers!

Happy New Mustang Day (HNMD)! My 2K has OEM hood and deck lid...both non-magnetic/composite/fiberglass of some kind. I suspect yours are OEM, but if you post pictures it would help the call out. Have fun!

Welcome, It always feels good to buy a new vehicle of any type.

Then we look under the hood. Sure it can be working just fine and most around here already "DID" before we all began reading and thinking and reading and thinking and then came to a wonderful idea. "Hmmmmmmm, that other guy did it. Surely it isn't hard to take this and that off and then upgrade here and there."

Soon, that question about aftermarket parts will seem silly because half the car will be aftermarket in the end.

OHHHH, If you have any 10mm Sockets on hand.......... You might want to buy about 20 more. All 6 sided in various drive. Your Welcome.

Yup, stock hood, trunk, spoiler and side scoops are composite. The sail panels over the small side windows may also be too but I’ve never handled those
