Hey guys, i did a search for this but couldnt find a good answer to my question. I drove my car about 3 miles last nigth and it died on me, no spit sputter anything, just plain quit, and wouldtn start back up. I couldnt smell any fuel at all, and i had spark and the fuel pump was priming and building fuel pressure. I went out this morning and the car started right up. I went over all my connections and everything is in place. Could the computer be at fault for this? I dont see why it would start cold and then not hot. Is there any way that it could be vapor locking? It has a full tank of fuel. I have long tube headers and the passenger side floorpan gets pretty warm, could this cause the computer to stop working? I have a pms in the car and it still came on and everything has power, i am at a loss and dont want to drive the car anywhere. I have the fuel injector harness ground to one of the bellhousing bolts, could this cause any type of problem? Thanks for any help!

Anthony

Anthony, when it acts up again, you really need to see if you have injector pulsing (since you noted you had spark). Anything else is just guessing.

It sounds like you saw that you had adequate fuel pressure.

Vapor lock is not something I'd consider.

If your computer stopped working, you'd have known it. You should not have a heat issue anyhow.

I would start by pulling codes and see if it acts up while you're playing with it. Do some quick diagnostics while it won't catch (in your driveway, as opposed to being on the side of the road somewhere).

Good luck.
