im expecting my shortblock tomorrow and ill be doing all my final checks and assembly to drop it in this weekend.
i have never done a piston to valve check before, i know most people just use clay. this might be a stupid question but i just want to make sure something this crucial is done right.
you just get any kind of clay, lay it on the piston, put on your head with gaskets and lightly torque them so they cant move, and rotate it a couple times manually?
is that the easiest way? my pistons are notched by dss, and im using edelbrock performer rpm heads. cam lifts roughly .576, felpro head gaskets if any of that matters.
