Is it normal, after about a 10 miles ride, with limited use of the brakes, to have all 4 rotors heated so as they are very uncomfortable to touch, with ambient air temp at 82 degrees?
I had the driver side front caliper hanging and replaced it yesterday, then yesterday after the ride, the new caliper rotor was still pretty hot, and as I poked around the other 3 rotors, they were hot too...about the same as the first one in pain level to the finger...is this rotor heat an issue, or about normal?
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks,
Bill

Start to worry when it is hot enough to cause instant 3rd degree burns. Or if you can see smoke or smell something burning.

It's pretty normal. Heavy cars, even with what would be thought as limited brake use, will create a lot of heat on the rotors.
