Hey all, so its 4:50 AM and i am at work, lame.. ha so i deceided to puruse SLP's website and came across this..http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=M31062
And i was wondering how they can claim the 330 HP numbers with this thing, or is it just a lable to make it sound good, being that i always figured our cars with just this stuff wouldnt even come close to 300, and we would need head and cams as well just to get us barley over the 300, but anyway i allready have the loudmouth exhaust, if i were to MAYBE be intrested in it, do you guys thinks is a good investment?? also i guess i dont need the air filter, i have a green from when i bought my demolet CAI. So i would try to get those knocked off the deal but who knows?

Thanks in advance

Steve

That must suck going to work at that time but, you got to pay
the bills some way lol. I think those HP claims are bogus and false.
Then again I don't purchase SLP products because in my opnion
they belong on a bowtie.

I wouldn't doubt that the SLP packs can put you near the mark they say, but its gonna be at the fly not the rear wheels.

Basing all thier products off the Loudmouth catback I got, they have excellent quality and fit, definately top notch stuff especially for the price.

Just don't hold your breath on the numbers.

it has to do with the type of dyno they (SLP) used, theres an article about in a recent 5.0 Mag. They installed the kit then dyno's it and didnt get anywhere near 300hp.

as far as not buying their stuff bc they used to be only GM, thats fine. But you're missing out on some high quality parts.

kramer03gt The numbers that slp claims it very true but it is a engine hp number what you are thinking of is rear wheel number. You need heads and cams to get just over 300 at the tire. But no where near all that to make that at the engine.(flywheel)

their numbers are high, yes most likly talking about engine power.

i have their parts on my car so i know what they gain. ive had them on the dyno. headers gave me 15 rwhp and 4 rwtq.....however, i had a gain of 25 rwtq from 3000-3500 rpm. the headers are awsome. as far as reaching 300rwhp with heads and cams. some people make it, some dont.

i didnt because i went with blower cams for the future, but im damn close anyway.
