I sent him an email about the subframe connectors and haven't heard back yet, so I figured I would just ask this here instead.

Do they replace the stock shock mounting plates that attach with the U bolts( my mind is blanking on the correct name) or do they just attach to them? I know that some of the ones for the vintage mustangs did.
And do they fit ok on rear ends other than the stock II 8 inch?

I am thinking about selling the stock 8 inch rear on a Pinto site (they love those things there) and need to know if I need to keep the shock plates or not.

Thanks,
Russ

I'm pretty sure they replace them. I'd look on my car, but it's at the painters right now... 99% sure I have the shock mounting plates sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Thanks.
It looked like they would, but wasn't sure.

If you are referring to traction bars and not sub frame connectors yes they do.

Leaf spring plates with holes for mounting the rear sway bar should definately be saved.

Not sure if the car had one, but it doesn't now.
Will have to take a look for the holes.
Thanks,
Russ
