question about suspension and lowering/raising

Do some homework first.Look at the members car's and see what you like.I know MUSTANGS PLUS in Stocken,Ca. sells a 3 or 4 or 5 or 5.5 rear leaf springs with a stock height or -1" or -2" so YOU gotta do some looking around first.Good Luck. :spot:

yeah i dont really know much about it...I would just like to raise the back end up like 1 or 2 inches...no more

RAISING the back end would be considered taboo by most folks on this board. That was really poular in the 70's, but the low stance is the rage these days. I think that you'll have a hard time finding replacement suspension parts that will raise the back end, unless you get shackles, or have your (or new) springs re-arched. $49 air shocks will do this in 45 minutes if this is really what you want. Been ther-done that (20years ago).

Lowering the front end is much easier. Do a search of this forum or the web. 1 to 1-1/2" lowering is easily accomplished with a $70 set of springs and the shelby drop mod. without sacraficing handling.

Whatever you do, remember that it's all about how well YOU like it, and a lot less about other's opinions. Good luck.

Man do your own thing..If you like the car then do it.. Most of the best art that is made spark controversy. Mine was built to look like a throwback to the 70's. just for reference mine is dropped 1" in the front and jacked way up in the back with air shocks.. (not the recommended tool) U can by lifting rear leaf springs from some companies.. I think JC Whitney has some for the mustangs.
