How good is the Cobra cam? I know the specs:
It has a 278°/270° duration opposed to the 266°/266° duration on our stock cams. I dont know the lift for the Cobra cam but am curious as to any type of power gain from it. It doesnt seem to do anything for our cars, but im not a cam-expert by no means. Any help would be awesome. Just curious about this stuff. Fun to learn

It's not really worth your time. Mild roller cams for our cars can be had for less than $200.00 and would do much better than the cobra cam.

Just FYI, ford measures the cams at .006 lift, this is why the duration seems so high. Actual duration is closer to 204(at .050) on the stock gt cam.

Like 2l8 said, cams are cheap, just get an aftermarket one.

As I remember, the Cobra cam is milder than the GT cam, you'd likely lose power by switching to it. Someone will undoubtedly correct me if I'm wrong... but I could have sworn the Cobra cam is identical to the one in the t-bird or something. Damn I hate getting old... :D

Let's see if Stangnet has fixed the attachement problem - I'm attaching the specs and valve event info on some popluar cams including the Cobra in a spreadsheet I created for comparing cams.................

Cool - they got it fixed............
