It will improve shifts both ways. When you drill the seperator plate, you not only drill the "feed-line" holes, but the "exhuast-line" holes as well. Therefore, the shifts will increase in speed through the feed-line and the clutches will exhuast faster due to increased fluid flow through the exhuast line holes when they are enlarged.
