If I get a used tuner that is unlocked by a performance shop, can I still order custom tunes for it later or do you have to be original owner?

I would say, if you're will to give them money, they would be more than happy to take it. I doubt if they care what # owner you are.

you best make sure that the tunner is unmarried from the previous car or it wont work.

as long as the tuner is unmarried when you buy it , you can get custom tunes usually from any dealer to put on it at a later date
