Ok... I have just one neighbor complain about my car... Being drove fast... I go 20Mph! thats under the (un-posted Legal speed limit for texas) anyways he complained everyone drives fast... In point he named my car! Says I fly threw the neighborhood cause he can hear my car... Mines not very loud i still have cats and yeah... 2chambers... Ive heard my car at 4,000 rpms kinda loud but i dont reach that high around here inless im leaving the exits of the neighborhood and its a friday night...

So this one is to find out who gets complaints about their car being ethier driven too fast or too loud!

I do all the time. My nieghbor thinks i speed but since my car is loud i make sure i do just under the limit. Mine will be much louder then your 5.0L cars. 5.8L with a off road h-pipe and 2 chambers. My wife says she can here me start the car up and drive around no matter where i am in town. lol miles away she can hear it. so can my kids they tell her i'm coming. they are always at the front window watching for me when i drive up. I try not to drive it late at night so as not to annoy the nieghbors. I was passed the other day by a grand am. i was doing the posted speed limit of 50 KPH he was doing 80-100KPH. A guy was in his garden next to the road the quiet grand am fly by him he did nothing. My car rumbles up to him and he is waving his arms telling me to slow down. I sometimes think i should install a quieter exhaust system but like i told my nieghbor i spent a lot of money to make the car sound like that. He doesn't believe me that it has mufflers on it. He said he used to have a mustang with glass packs when he was young. I told him it must be Karma. He was not impressed.

Several people believe that since they can hear my car, that I must be going "fast".

Anyhow, I wouldn't take this guy to seriously since you meantioned he complains about others as well. Try to remain civil if you get contact with this guy. If no laws are being broken, then I don't see any problem, other than someone who wants to whine.

I just don't drive fast in my neighborhood at all. 2nd gear out of the driveway and i creep out.

Once i'm away from where i live, i let it rip, but when i creep back home at night, i roll in neutral or a higher gear.

as a result, nobody complains

lol i do this aswell. But 1 KM away from home i usally punch it a little. My nieghbor complains about that. You can hear my car that far away like it was in the driveway beside you. I love it. My stereo was stolen out of my car. I never replaced it because i couldn't hear it anyways. A buddy of mine has a mustang and he is huge into stereo's. He has 50 seires on his car. Anyways we were playing on the way home from work. I was in front of him and shifted to third to pass a car ahead of us. He said my car is so loud he could not hear his music in his car of the exhaust of his own car. All he heard is 4 barrels opening up and saw a blue blur taking off.

I drive extremely carefully around my neighborhood because my neighbors are A-holes to start out with so no reason to start anything more. Besides that a sheriff lives 3 houses down which is also good motivation to keep it below the speed limit. Too bad everyone can't enjoy loud exhaust and know that it doesn't mean we are going fast Between my dad and I we are the only ones that break the silence of the 'hood.

Unless it's late at night when I pull onto the road that leads to the garage driveway I turn in and punch it and run 2nd up then roll out and let it decelerate, no complaints. I don't think it's that loud, but I've never heard it WOT outside the car. Dad said he heard me take off from a restraunt a mile or so down the road, and I wasn't even on the throttle real hard. Dunno what it's going to sound like with the heads and cam going on this weekend.

Well my car is decently loud I guess, but I haveone story that happened tonight I have totell. Well it was my GFs Bday today so I was leaving her house around midnight. I pull out of her neighborhood and the way the road is, you can't really see cars comingfrom the left, so I edge out like normal and see a car coming. I romped on it and was at 60 in a 45 in no time. Well the guy that happens topull up next to me(the one coming around thecorner) was a cop... oops lol

Luckily every city cop in our town knowsme and probably thought it wasmy dad in the car(he is a city councilman). So yeah lol,,, and this is one day after getting my car working with the new TB and intake manifold!!

People don't complain at all around here, not sure why. My car isn't loud, but my bike is rediculous, and I used to start it at 7am every morning to go to school, and now 8am to go to work, and I've never had a complaint. We repaint the road with rubber in front of my buddy's (and all his neighbors) house throughout the summer, and they've never said a word either. It's so bad at times his Mom has used it to help people find his house Maybe people are laid back in CT

Next time they complain put a 500ft strip in front of their house and say see, it could be worse.
