I'm running the edelbrock performer. Why? It was a gift from my wife for christmas, but I would still choose it anyway. I think the performer is the way to go IF the car is heavy and will not be shifted above ~6000rpms. If you will be shifting it higher than that and have it geared accordingly, then the rpm is the way to go. Basically it boils down to if you want a warmed over street combo, or a hot street/strip setup. I think most of us here want a warmed over street combo. The lack of low end torque isn't fun. My dad's car is faster than mine at the track, but behind the driver's seat mine feels like it would kill my dad's, but his is a hot street/strip combo. If you ever rode back to back in two such cars, you'd fell what I mean. Best bet is to decide which is right for you, and then call Ed and see what he says. You have to concider the rpm range of the combo, rear gearing, weight, etc. Would I pick up with an RPM? Maybe I'd pick up some MPH, but my et and street manners would be compromised I think.
