I'll post one tomorrow.
I took the back intake bolt off each side and replaced them with studs like on the late model 5.0's. Then I just slid the brackets on the studs and put another nut on it. The brackets go in toward each other, so they are right next to each other right behind the carb.
I didn't really want to clutter another area of my engine bay, or drill holes in the aprons or firewall. So that was a good solution that kept me from doing that. No drilling, and they are somewhat out of sight. I'm not trying to hide them, I just didn't want them to stand out.
Not really, I just wanted them out of the way, where they weren't really that noticeable. I didn't want to clutter up an easily seen part of the bay.
I thought about hiding them, mounting them on the inside of the firewall, and putting the bottle between the back seat and the front trunk panel I made. But you would still be able to see the plate and the lines going to it.
Any other ideas/suggestions? I need to buy the rest of the little things I need to get this kit operational. Oh well, I guess I have all winter. Not to mention the fact that I really need a new set of drag radials before I start using this. These don't really hook anymore as it is.
I would get rid of all the teflon tape. It has a way of getting in the seal in the solenoid. The fuel side is less important, but teflon paste would be good there too. I had a N2O solenoid leak once and luckily was able to hear it before I tried to start the car. I could not find anything wrong with the solenoid when I disassembled it, but I don't use teflon tape any more to rule it out.

Don’ts
Engage your nitrous system with the engine off. Severe engine damage can occur.
Modify NOS nitrous systems (if you need a non-stock item, call NOS Technical Service for assistance)
Overtighten AN type fittings.
Use Teflon Tape on any pipe threads. Pieces of Teflon tape can break loose and become lodged in nitrous or fuel solenoids or solenoid filters. Debris lodged in a nitrous or fuel solenoid can cause catastrophic engine failure.
I bought my kit used and it already had tape on the fittings. I thought if I left them alone it would be OK. After the solenoid leaked into the intake I decided to remove all tape. It was a pain to get it all out of the threads. I used a dental pick. Teflon paste is what NOS recommends. Nothing on the AN fittings.
