I hear the MPG goes down very fast if you get in the charger a bit .. What I want to know is how big of a bite does it take out of a tank .. And no need for someone to tell me that if I want good MPG a Mustang is not the car I should look at .. My GTO gets about 18 mpg , I do mostly city driving ..

My highway MGP actually got better with the supercharger. However, you are correct that if I put my foot in it, the MPG dramatically goes down. I can drive to and from the track averaging 26.5 MPG on the Interstate. When I'm on the track with my foot planted on the floor, the car averages 5 MPG! That just goes to show how much fuel is required to compensate for the additional air being forced into the engine.

My car is an '07 GT Automatic coupe with a Vortech V2 S-Trim blower. Non-intercooled and tuned very conservatively as a daily driver....

At 55-60 mph cruise control, I get about 24 mpg on the highway. Bump that up to 70-75 mph cruise control, and I get about 20 mpg on the highway. Running 75+ w/o cruise control and outpacing most other cars (in and out of boost) and I get about 18 mpg.

Most of my driving is in town (stoplight to stoplight) and very hilly terrain and I get about 12-13 mpg in daily driving. I'm a lead foot and always in the boost. On track days, it's possible to run as low as 8-9 mpg when it's mostly wide open throttle.
