Last year I installed the QA1 K-Member on my 04 mustang gt and I love it. Easy access to my LTs and starter plus the weight savings. Today, tax refund came in and I want to finish with QA1 coilovers, struts and control arms.
Here's my dilema...
I'm confused about which QA1 struts and control arms to buy. Do I go with the eco series control arm or do I go with the pro comp series control arm? Which is best for a weekend driven car that likes to have some fun but doesn't see any track use?
The car was lowered a little with the use of eiback pro kit springs but after I installed the K-member, it went real low. I'm still on the stock struts and I have about 1.5 in between fender and tire. On occassion while driving the tire will rub. I know this because I can smell it.
QA1 has two different size struts. One is a lowered strut and one is not. Since I'm switching to coilovers and will be using QA1's 175 lb spring rate will this raise my car up enough to allow me to use the lowered strut? UPR and QA1 are a little too vague with their answers so I'm asking anyone here with experience on their QA1 setup to give me some good advice.
