how do you get the white wax off the black (rough) unpainted body peices like the trim around the window/mirrors/vents on hood excetera? I tried a toothbrush with soapy water and fantastic. it looks like its gone until it dries!

any suggestions besides wax carefully lol?

Some people say that Mr Clean magic eraser works or you can use a regular pink eraser. The trick is to dress them first before waxing.

how are you supposed to tape off the vents on the hood?...i guess you could take the vents off i think they are only a couple screws.

im waiting for MGW LTD or one of those to come out wth some kind of chrome peice or something to put on those things. would be nice.

never thought of magic eraser or eraser..ill try that!

Take them off and paint them basecoat/clearcoat black, or whatever color you like. Same with any of the textured plastic pieces.

I have used Mothers "Back to Black" before with good success. https://store.mothers.com/product_info.php?products_id=18
If you get this, be SURE not to use it on your Saleen emblems as it deteriorated my side badges.

One of my friends swears by using Endust.

Your best bet is avoiding it in the first place by using a clear, non-residue forming wax, I prefer Zaino products, but many other lines have come out that are available in your local car parts store.

I carry a chemical polish by Poorboys that will remove the white residue. I also carry a product called Trim Restorer that works great on black plastic parts. Let me know if you have any questions about the products.
