i can't figure out what this light means. but its on the 01 saleen and the light is all the way to the right side of the gauges. it looks like a radiator, with a cap on top, with a fan in the middle. i don't know what this could be signaling. i checked the radiator fluid level and everything seemed fine. just curious if anyone knows what this is so i can check it out. thanks.

Mines been on for about a month or two, car runs normal temp, but i think the sensor in the coolant tank went out. Some people said that maybe it gets stuck sometimes and to just wiggle it around, but it didnt really help my problem. The weird thing about mine is, in the morning, it only comes on when i get to my normal operating temp, then it stays on the rest of the day. I dunno, i dont have any overheating problems so...oh by the way, its the coolant light.

Slapyo:

Your car should still be under warranty. If the temperature is normal, then the float switch is stuck due to crud floating in the reservoir tank. There may be bits of plastic or other stuff from the factory or the switch may just be bad.

If your car is out of warranty, then get a new switch first, then flush out the tank with a garden hose, drain, install the new switch, fill with fresh coolant (50/50 solution of the green stuff + distilled water), and all should be well again.

ok cool thanks. will check if wiggling it around works or if there is any crud in the tank. never checked the manual but madmatt says it is the coolant light. which makes sense because of how it looks.

wiggling it around is only a temp fix from what I have seen. Either you need a new tank or you can take it out like i did . If what there saying does not work I think you can get one from ford for 100 bucks
