I took all my sparkplugs out, oil breather and my radiator cap. Now I need to find TDC, can I just take the cap off of the dizzy and find out which cylinder the rotor is pointing to and then use that cylinder first?

Oh and why does it matter if I have all the plugs out? I just did cyl number 5 and air was coming out of my oil fill tube. That equals my rings are bad or my cyl wall is worn right?

Cyl 5=70% leakage, 6=60% leakage. I just remembered that you are supposed to have your engine warm for a compression test, does that apply for leakdown testers too? Im guessing yes.
