Question-regarding MAC aluminum pedals????

Guys,

Those of you-Who have MAC aluminum pedal covers-How do you install them????

1) Do you have to remove the rubber pedal cover and drill straight into the metal???

2) or go straight through the rubber into the metal????

i bought them at a swap meet with no instructions-This is why i ask.....

I believe you have to remove the rubber. On the gas pedal, I'm sure you have to drill into it since without it, there's nowhere to bolt it to.

i called MAC, and let me tell you-Its amazing how DUMB they really are!! They dont even know there products..... The dude is like, you have the wrong part #, I'm like-No kidd'N, But it can be made to work-Period, just Gerri-Rig the dayum thing.
I was like-What about the gas pedal, He told me-to remove the rubber and mount it tot he metal, You guys-state-mount it into the rubber. So whats the scoop????

Make it work however you have to.

All I said was, regarding the gas pedal, is that if you remove the actual pedal itself, all that's left is a steel pedal arm that attaches to the throttle cable. The gas pedal has a bolt-through mount on the back that attaches it to the steel arm itself, and then you have a complete gas pedal. IF YOU MAC PEDAL IS JUST A FLAT PIECE OF METAL, then you obviously can't bolt it to the pedal arm since there is no mounting hole. Just drill and tap the gas pedal, then bolt the MAC pedal to it. I know the MAC kits come with a tap, and this has got to be the reason. The dead pedal is probably the same way, unless it has tabs on the back with which to secure it to the dead pedal mount.
