Does anyone know what the hole in the passanger side of the fire wall is for. I have a 96 Mustang GT and fluid keeps leaking out of the hole. Is this suppose to happen. Sometimes its a little and sometimes alot. Thanks.

The hole is about half way down the fire wall on the passanger side. When I looked it had fluid dripping out of it.

Does it come out the back side of the fire wall where the glove box would be on the inside? If so its your Heater Core and that is radiator fluid. Are there two valves with hoses on them?

Yes, its is where the glove box would be. Is the fluid suppose to come out OR am I missing something?

The hole is by itself and does not have any hoses by it.

Sounds like a heater core problem, as 53BigDog said...and let me tell ya, that's a PITA to change...just getting access is the biggest problem.

There should be two metal valves coming out of the fire wall. attached to those valves should be two rubber hoses about 1-1.5inches in diameter. One of those hoses attach to a pipe behind the engine that goes around to the drivers side and the other goes down behind the passenger valve cover into the rear of the engine block. Hey man can you snap a picture that would help out greatly.

I cranked the defroster, checked for fluid on the floor and even tried to smell for "the sweet smell", but nothing. I AM still getting the slow drip under the passanger side door. I will take a pic BigDog and post it. Thanks for the help.

Have you looked in the rear of the engine, is there any signs of leakage on any hoses or other parts of the rear of the engine?
