Question.....

If there is a problem with the tie rod ends or sway bar how bad is it to drive on it. The car is making a noise coming from those areas. Sounds like metal rubbing. Any thoughts

The noise is like a creeking sound, metal on metal.

Its coming from the drivers side near the wheel well. I was thinking it was maybe my bushings. When I lift the wheel well up It also makes the same noise. I can sometimes fell something tap under my drivers side floor board when I hear the noise.

Check your tierods and steerimg shaft...

Also, the driver side wheel assembly AND strut went out on my buddy's 2000 GT not too long ago.

Sound like sway bar linkages, I just replaced them on my SHO, it was makin a creaking, clicking noise while hittinp bumps with decent compression of the struts, I am sure out Mustang would have close to the same setup. Ball joints will also make noise when they go bad, I have never heard a tie rod make noise, not saying it can't, just never heard it.
