i have a 97 mustang GT. What do you think would be a better choice for me, keeping my 97 GT and do what i can for horse power or do you think i should buy a 99 GT with more HP and more stock torque than my GT but than make payments on it??

Keep what you have and swap out for PI cams and intake. You will have about the same hp +/- 5-10 and still no car payment.

Well heck if you want to make payments on something, why not make them on a super charger for your car.

PI h/c/i plus nitrous and traction = low 12's maybe high 11's w/ gears and suspension. And that's around 1k in parts (12's).

That's a rip off.

When i was trying to sell my '03GT back at the end of the summer, i was asking $12,000 with 45,000 miles on it, a few extras and in PERFECT condition. (i take extremely good care of my cars)

I've seen '99's sell for 9000. I think someone bought a '99 Cobra last week here for $10K

im starting project 12's now w/ just the h/c/i (VT cams tho) and slicks, no nitrous. But we'll see if that's fruitful
