The ac compressor has been leaking for awhile and instead of getting a new one I was just thinking of deleting the ac. I don't really drive the car much since I bought a new focus for my daily driver, plus I like the look of a clean engine bay. Does anyone have a step by step on how to do this?? I'm just wondering if I have to get the refreigerant evacuated or need special tools to disconnect anything. Also, does anyone have engine bay pics of what theirs looks like after????

You can probably just take your car to a shop and have them evacuate it. Probably won't cost much if anything, cause I believe they can re-use it. After it's drained, the only tools you need are the ford quick disconnect tools (plastic circular disks). Should be able to get them at Autozone, etc. The removal is real easy once you get started. For pics, check out the engine bay pic thread in the talk section. A lot of us have gotten rid of AC.
