questions about rear end swap

there should be a juntion in the brake line on the car, where it splits into 2 lines. also the parking brake cable. Then the upper and lower control arms and the shocks. thats about it.

I dont know if there any different things about a 7.5" from a 4cyl.
But we did a swap on my car. pulled the 8.8 out and put another 8.8 in, much easier than i expected. just unbolt old one and bolt new one in, easy as pie

with the car on stands(preferably under the rear) put a jack under the back part of the lower control arm. when you get the bolt loose and then out, lower the jack slowly as to releive the tension that the spring is under. also notate the location of the spring before removing it, the location of the coils is what i mean. the top of the shock is in the hatch/trunk area. just unbolt it from the top. mite have to get a impact or air ratchet cause these two things can spin the nut fast enough before it starts spining the shock shaft.

while you are swapping out the rear end you may want to think about welding in the torque boxes. they are just tack (spot) welded from the factory
