WHat is the timimg Adj For? what is it timimg? how does setting your timing to 14* affect your engine?

I had the T/A on my 02 GT and set it to 14*. Noticed a good gain from it, the Butt-O-Meter felt a diff. The T/A is the only way to set the timming on our cars, unless you get a tune. If your getting the pullies and the T/A do them at the same time!!!
I just installed a Timing Adjuster, @14*, on my 03 this weekend. Haven't driven the car enough to get a good feel for any performance increase but so far so good. The car idles fine and no bucking, in fact the engine seems to be running a bit smoother.

sounds like you have no idea what timing is. check out howstuffworks.com, i learned all kinds of stuff reading that page for hours. this link will take you to something specific about timing.
