I just got some 4.10s in the mail and was talking to some mechanics and they said these gears are going to guzzle up my gas, so I wanted to ask my mustang Enthusiasts, the guys who actually drive cars with these gears, and find out what you all say and get some advice.
ok my situation is I wanted to get some gears at least 3.73 up to 4.10s (even 3.90s). I do a lot of interstate driving and on top of that when i do drive my normal cruising speed is at least 75-85 mph. So in pertains to what you just read, is 4.10s a bad idea b/c with gas prices climbing I do not want to lose gas effeciency.
Should I get new gears such as the 3.73 or 3.90 //// or stick with 4.10s. Now when you decide to leave your reply/advice please do not only think of performance b/c I already know performance-wise the 4.10s will give me better launch and better 1/4 time. I want to know about all around gear (good launch and decent gas mileage) Thanks yall.....advice is appreciated
