I put that kit on my 94 when I made some other major mods and it worked great. All the needed parts came in the kit, it went on with absolutely no problems
I'm not much on that fuel pump on the street with a sumped tank. If more track then street use then it will be fine. If more street/strip...then I'd opt for a dual Walbro inline set-up etc....
i was thinking of useing the car for road raceing. so was thinking of an upgraded fuel system. cause the car will be at high rpm's for a good amount of time. and the last thing i want to do is starve the motor of fuel.
hey Redsnk95 what kind of setup do you run? with a 302 running 10's that must be one bad motor under the hood.
so what's your reason for suggesting a different fuel pump? just wonding why.
Well I was assuming you'd be on the street thus me recommending a pickup tube instead of a sump tank.
I ran a Cartech pick-up tube, -10an to a y-block, two -8an to two Walbro 392GSL inline pumps, to another y-block and -8 through a Aeromotive filter and to the front pass side rail, crossover in the back and exit middle driver's side rail to the aeromotive regulator, and -6 back to the pickup.
As for the old 302....it was a T-trim/AFR 185s/E303cam/TFS R intake...check the FAQ you should to find my set-up.
i have been kicking the idea around of upgrading my feul system the only thing i have heard is clearance around the dist. with the aeromotive kit ? or can it be run different ways ?
The best rails to run are the Pro-M rails or the BBRT rails b/c they will clear the distributor easier. On my rails, I had to use a lot of spacers to get it to clear the distributor.

well i will be driving on the street , to club meets and cruises. it's not just a road racing car, and not a daily driver.
i was now thinking of not getting the sump tank with the kit.(which i think is the street kit) but whats your suggestions? go with the sump tank or with pick up?
Don't think the Aero kits are designed around a pickup tube. You can build a kit cheaper than buy it IMO. BBRT rails aka Behind Bars Racing Team makes some really cool stuff. Their rails are beautiful..and what all the NMRA guys run. Since you will be on the street get the pick up tube.
One kit that is good, uses Peirburg pumps is Cartech's Stage III kit, and you can order it will Walbro inlines instead of the Pierburgs. That Stage III kit is identical to what I run and I use the Walbro inline pumps....super quiet!!! I don't like the pump in the Stage 1 or Stage 2 kit but it will work as well. http://www.cartech.net/fuelsystems.htm
