quick ? about vortech..

whats the difference between the a v1 s-trim and a v2 sq s-trim?

the v1 is the loud one and the sq is the quieter one

v-1=straight cut gears
v-2=helically cut gears

v-2 is supposedly slighty more efficient...

they both are nearly identical as far as flow specs and potential. the only difference is the cut of the gear which makes the sq nearly silent compared to the v1 which can be rather audible.

not right away, just doing my homework. im going to put some heads on 1st. then ima start saving for it and other parts (inj, fuel pump, maf, etc).
i wanna take my time and do it right. cant wait tho!!

I know this is an iold post but can a V1 be upgraded to a v2? Mine seems to be. V1 on the name plate, but with v2 fins? thanks.

Mine is a V1 and says V2 on the plate as well. No doubt it is a V1, however.

I may call Vortech w/ the serial etc and see what they can tell me about it. I'll post up if/when I do.
