I just took my system out of my car. But the thing that is spliced in w/ the amps is still there. If i take it out will i be getting more amps? Or is it just being there not hooked up not going to make a bit of difference?
But if I understand you, you are asking if your amps(stereo) are powered on, but you not actually have a singal going to them. Will you have more amperage available to your electrical system.
Well I'm not sure what you are getting at.. but the answer is yes. The only time your stereo amps are really drawing a lot of current is when you are really thumping and loud levels continuiosly.
I'm running my stock alternator and original stock battery and pushing 2000 watts and have a system that can draw 150 peak amps, with no charging issues
Are you having charging issues with your batttery or alternator???
