this is a long reply!!! sorry

welcome to the boards! as far as subs go i have audiobahn subs and i LOVE them. i have 2 AW1200q subs (which a re current models i believe) and they are being driven by an audiobahn 1300HCX amp (which is from the last model desgin, but its 1200 watts RMS) i highly recommed these subs and at least an a1200dt, which is a 1200 watt class d amp

as far as the internals go...i have audiohbahn internals however the tweeters have blown...im not sure if its the amp that blew them or the quality of the speaker, but i am thinking it was the amp (its a crapy kenwood). they are from the AS series and they are 5x7/6x8's and they sounded very good while they still worked. my girlfriend has the new ACS series speaker in her car, but they dont sound very good at all, stay away from them. as far as a reccomendation i higly reccomend infinity kappa speakers, sound good all around.

for amping your internals i like jl (kind of pricey) phoenix gold (another priecy one) and pretty much anything from the high current line from audiobahn.

for the best prices check out ebay (be careful though, and make sure you get your exact model number right). http://www.ikesound.com http://www.onlinecarstereo.com are both excelent sites and i believe online car stereo doesnt charge shipping.

hope i helped you a bit, let me know if you want more information

this really should have been posted in the sound and shine section but just make sure you go there next time

I am an audiobahn freak as well, I have the a8000t powering my 1200Q and a 4004t 4 channel powering my door speakers. I dont have audiobahn speakers in the doors, I have infinity kappa series, cause that what sounded best to me after hearing both sets. If you want to see my setup I have posted some pics below. Take care and let me know if you have any questions...

This one is my sony mp3 head unit with audiobahn bass boost and voltmeter below...

everything works pretty well if your looking for LOUD.... if your looking for sound quality- look away (but its hard look at the chrome).

you couldnt pay me to use audiobahns mids/highs, there is sooo much better out there for less! also, most of the line is over-rated power wise!

my 2cents- personally i wouldnt buy it, but damn they advertise well!

well everyone has their own opinions on what sounds good, i think audiobaun sucks hard. all chromed out flames not enough SQ (all show no go). my personal brand of choice is jl audio, allthough they are somewhat expensive. in your case i would recomend infinity, sound good, around the same price as audiobahn. alpine is also good

id go with infinity, alpine, pioneer, or ken wood mids/highs and if yuor lookign for subs for SPL id go with one S12L7 in a 3-4 foot cubic box, and you will have a very hard hittint sytem (i mean hard), but if u want SQL over SPL go with diamond audio subs,

wow----- what a mess,

03v6- what are you looking for SQ, SPL, a mix of both? or are you just trying to improve the stock sound? everyone is giving you opinions, but they might not fit your application.

best thing run to a couple local audio shops and take a listen, if you can get out to a Sound-Off and you'lll be able to hear just about every brand installed many different ways.

REMEMBER :::: your system is only as good as your install!!!!!

personally, i dont like rockford fosgate. but when it comes down to it it really is all about personal prefrence. some people swear by rockford...but i wouldnt touch it with a 10 foot pole. and i have listened to JL internals, i didnt like them....the W6v2 and the W7 subs are a different story though.

I'm happy with my new Rockford setup.

There's a pic in my profile directory.

How so? I put a lot of time into my install, but I don't know how it would be any different than anything else...
