Engine Quick Head Question

Trying to get to my next engine. Have AFR185s waiting on a new shortblock, been thinking 331/347 for a couple years. However......

Will AFR 185's support a 351 based 408 if I decide to go that route?

whatre your plans with the car? high compression all motor or low compression turbo or blower? Nitrous?

It will be run 90% NA for street and brackets, but will have the same small plate system I have (150) on it for fun occasions. 9.5 or better compression, 2500 or better converter, 4.10 gears, carged. Drag focused.

IMHO, AFR 185s are small for a 408. You'll need a good induction and a healthy cam to keep a 408 from wheezing through those heads. That's not to say it couldn't be done.

Afr 205 are a minimum in my opinion for all motor

Thanks for the feedback. Probably stay 302 based, because of time and effort constraints in changing the other stuff to a 351 block.
