i bought a new pcv valve for my 1992 gt...i took out the pcv valve itself and the rubber gromet...it was all ****ty and eaten up...but whats the tip on getting the filter out thats way down there...was it suppose to come out with the grommet

get like a 3 inch or so coarse thread screw and screw it into the screen, then just pull it out.

i just took a coat hanger..undid it and made a little hook so i could catch it under the tabs of the filter casing..thanks

Yeah it should come out with the grommet I believe. I took a dental pick and reached down there and picked it into one of the many wire looms and it popped right out...
