Quick late model PMGR starter wiring question

I'm assuming (since there were no instructions included with the starter) that the attached lead on the left is the ignition switched power in, the top big lug is the battery cable in, and the bottom big lug is the ground? Is that correct?

It is a mini starter for 93 Ford 5.0 with 157 tooth flywheel.

No. Mini starters get the battery voltage full time on the large cable (top terminal)

The smaller terminal on the left gets voltage from a relay or as most retrofit kits use, the existing solenoid to pass the "start" voltage.

The bottom large terminal is not ground. It is the power that is going to the starter windings. There should be no connection here.

Ground is accomplished through the engine block.

Thanks man, glad I asked, that could have been interesting. I've actually already bookmarked the link you gave me, thanks! You convinced me to run the fender solenoid or relay instead of straight to the starter's solenoid.

Here is a diagram if you want to run just a small Bosch type relay. Thats what I'm using.

I know just enough about wiring (i think) to get myself in trouble... Is that 20A fuse going to blow when I try starting the car because it it connected to the same lug as the battery cable?

No, the 20 amp fuse is there to protect the wires and the relay feeding power to the solenoid during cranking, just in case for some reason the solenoid or wires short to ground.
