Anyone ever had to replace their starter with LTs on their car? My starter just took a dump on me and i'm about to go put a new one on, just curious if anyone's ever had any problems getting the starter down past the header. I peeked under and it looks close but i think it'll slide past, it's gonna be a PITMFA to get the bolts on and off, especially the ground.

A buddy did his asnd he unbolted the header on the head and the collector I do think he ended up taking it right out. PITA but unless you have the hands of a three year old its tough! Maybe someone has a better way.

You have MAC's...

Just smack your finger with a hammer so you're good and pissed and you won't noticed how much of a PITA it is. I can slip my '93 mini right up from underneigth with the BBK longtubes.

My stock starter on the '90(the big one) comes out fine with my 1-3/4 BBKs.

Well that's all over. Yet another reason i stick up for MAC, the stock starter slipped right past without so much as a wiggle. While i was under there i replaced my battery terminals since they were stock '85s and were well wore out. It starts so quiet now you can hardly hear the starter at all. So in the end, i didnt have to unbolt anything and it was actually very easy, and only took about 1 hour, and that's including driving to the parts store to pick up the new starter, and replacing the + and - wires. Thanks for the opinions though.
