Quick question on an 83

True Dual Exhaust didnt not appear until 85-86. 84.5 to 86.5 in the SVO but they where only cat back duals.

CFI IIRC appeared in 84 with the 84.5 special GT350 Mustang. I not seen any 83s with CFI but it could be that it was an option that many people didnt buy....

Well when i did my 82 Capri, this had a single dual tip on the Drivers side I didt move anything.

I got the double hump x-member, T-5 exhausrt hanger, H-pipe, tail pipe and muffler hangers, flowmaster mufflers and mac tail pipes. I had the exhaust shopfab up the flow tubes..

It sounds good and doesnt rattle..

Dual exhaust didn't come around on the V8s until '85. CFI didn't come around until after '83, (I think it wasn't until late 84) and those cars were always only automatic tranny cars. Unless this car was converted, its probably carbureted.

Looks like a sweet car man. If its in good shape, its worth every bit of that $5800!

So I guess what I will do (assuming I get the car), is but an offroad H pipe, and a dual hump cross member and go from there. Probably do a couple of flowmaster 40's and call it good! Thinking about running dumps rather than tips.
