when you turn the key all the way forward without starting the car. do the injectors spray gas in the cylinders.

when you turn the key all the way forward, it does start the car....so do you mean you turn the key to "RUN" (no it does not pulse the injectors, just primes the FP).
or if you mean turn it all the way forward (to START), but dont push in the clutch, or you have the car in Reverse, so it wont start? for that, if the clutch safety switch/neutral safety switch are open, you might as well not have the key turned to start, so no, no pulse there either.

as i recall, if you are actually starting the car (and it is turning over), the only way to keep it from firing injectors is to floor the pedal (kills the injectors - for clearing flooding, etc).

im not Jrichker, TMoss, etc positive on all of this, but im very confident that this is correct.

also, the injectors spray into the lower intake, not directly into the cylinders (air and fuel need to mix a little first for stability).

let us know what exactly you mean.......

you could wire the stereo stuff (if it is not already) so that it is on with the key position towards you (instead of turnin the key the direction you do to start, turn it the other way). this does not energize the FP or other engine management stuff (i think it is called the accessory position, but am not sure).

you could also wire it to shut off when a door is opened. so, you can take your keys out of the ignition, and keep the stereo stuff energized until you open the door (reach through the window to change stuff or use your remote).

must be nice- if i even leave a door open for an hour, the battery is too toasted to start the car. LOL.
