The reason i ask is because I bought the Haynes Repair Manual for 94-03 Mustangs and on the picture where it talks about the ERG valve it makes a refrence to the 98 and under engine. where the EGR vavle is back and silver where mine is in the black and in the front thats why i had to ask

UM. Why do you need to clean this out? Something wrong with your exhaust?

Check Engine Light came one.
I got it hooked up to a scanner and it told me 401 EGR insufficient Flow so i was told to clean or replace my EGR valve
