ok my friend is giving me a set of brand new dynomax super turbo mufflers. adn the question is if i put these on my 01 gt wut would it sound good or not. i am also thinking about just dumping the exhaust right after the mufflers instead of running it out of the stock catback. would this be a good idea adn would it sound ok. how do dynomax compare to flowmaster. my car is a completely stock gt with no mods. any help will be greatly appreciated.

All I can tell you is that it would sound more aggressive than the stock exhaust note. I wouldn't dump it because it would look funny without tailpipes filling out the cutouts in the bumper.

i was actually just thinking about leavign the stock tips there so it would look like i had a full exhaust

if you were actually serious about the dumps you could always get a v6 bumper without cutouts.

It will sound better than stock, but I don't think it would sound better than a Flowmaster or Mac Catback. Run the pipes out the back with bigger chrome tips. A stang with fat pipes out the back is a sexy look, especially when it has a nasty exhaust tone.

Not a fan of the turndowns. Heard stories of fumes coming up through the car while at a light or stuck in traffic. It's bad especially if you have kids in the car. Dont want you sitting at a long light and yyour kid gets sick or you pass out at the wheel...

From my personal experience, its not a problem. I took the back seats out of my old fox and there are holes in the floorboards. My flows were dumped and i never had a problem. The only complaints were that the metal was hot if someone rode back there.
