Alright, Im about to fire up my motor. It is a 1996 351 W Short block with a Trick Flow Stage 2 Cam (5.0). Do i use the 351 firing order, or the 5.0 firing order? Im thinking since its a 5.0 cam, i use the 5.0 order. Just double checking. Thanks.

I do believe that is what I told you last night on the phone!! Your whole firing order is based off your cam! I would have figured you big daddy telling these guys on here how to build their cars would know that........... Good Luck hope it fires soon!!!!

i know you did! You know the crap part of it, i take off the timing cover last night to fix my leak. And i saw the reason i need more sleep.. After i had pulled the dizzy to make sure i wasnt off a tooth, i never plugged it back in. So it probably would have already been started! Ol well, just picked up my converter, so plenty more to do now. Should be up and angering the indians in no time. And you guys moved away, so i partly blame you..lol

use the firing order indicated on the cam timing card. since your cam is for a 5.0 engine, likely you will use that firing order.

Why in the world would you pull the distributor out, what would that tell you???? Did you know what tooth it was supposed to be on to have perfect timing, are you running a timing belt now?? LOL!!! I could pull the cap and tell you if you were right or not.
