Quick Tranny Question/Torque Converter

I drained the tranny pan on my 97 escort, and in the manual it states the tranny fluid capacity (4.1q with full torque converter and 6q with an empty converter). Does the tq converter fill up with tranny fluid? I'm don't know much about auto trannies. I took the tranny pan off, replaced the filter, and put it back together. Do I fill it up with 4.1q?

yes 4 should do it. i would put 3 then check and add you dont want to overfill either.
