Keep O/D OFF. Our O/D band is weeeeak.
If you have a tuner you can set the WOT shiftpoint for 4th to something like 7500 (that you will never readh) so that your car will never shift into O/D at WOT. This has saved me at the track a couple times when I forgot to disable it.

Correct... turn it off. You get aprox. 3 WOT shifts into O/D then your O/D band is basically shot. Been there, done that.

While we're on it, don't flog a cold automatic transmission either.
Been there, broke that.

Yup, and it doesn't take long to warm them up either.
