I realize I may be the first person ever to ask this question, but can anyone recommend a quiet sounding but nice subtle tone muffler? Similar to the Bullitt muffler. I'm getting older, and my SLP LT's w/catted X and bassani catback is just getting too obnoxious. Stock mufflers would be ok, but I'm looking for something more like how the Bullitts sound. I cant seem to find where they sell the bullitts.

Any ideas?

Flowmasters with a catted mid pipe are relatively quiet. They will also have a bit more tone then stock.

Delta Flow mufflers from Flowmaster (50 series) are pretty tame but still have a nice tone.

+1 on the regular Magnaflows (oval case). Tame, but have a nice bark when you step on it.

Magnaflows for sure. Sound good while cruising with 0 drone (unlike slowmasters). Then when you hammer on the gas, they sound awesome.

Dynomax super turbo mufflers are rather tame.

I run a VRS catted x-pipe (damn emissions in GA) with the regular magnaflow cat-back. The car is quiet when cruising on the highway, but sounds great when you push it.

Actually, you're not. I had pretty much the same idea in mind when I was looking to upgrade the stock exhaust. I wanted the performance of a racing exhaust, but didn't want the car too much louder than stock. After a lot of research I decided on a Magnaflow catted X into a Dynomax cat back with their Ultra Flo mufflers. I got exactly what I wanted and to date, I've never heard another one like it.

I read that dynomax mufflers don't have that drone that fosters have. So check that out.

Just add a Mac Pro Chamber to any exhaust. It will quiet it down and give a better tone.
