Yeah I hear ya on the all or nothing thing. When I am at home I can not really want a chew all day. But for example when I plowed snow last winter it would be one after another all night pretty much. It really does come down to what your doing. I find myself chewing when I just want something to do haha.

Yeah I know what you mean. I smoke... all the time, haha. As soon as I wake up, before/after eating anything, throughout the day at work, anytime I'm driving. Just so much. But that's done for now, and hopefully for a long period of time.

I think it's a huge mental thing too, but in two parts, cravings/habit. I smoke/have smoked cigars/a pipe for a long time now, bout 4 years. started just once in a while, then once a week, then 2 or three once a week to, where i was smokin a few a day.
To me its something i enjoy havin. like a pop or coke. I see the whole thing as mental cause sure you have a craving. heck you have cravings for steak and go eat it, or a pop and you drink one... but don't like let it get toooo mental on ya man. if you wanna stop you can. just like you don't go eat steak everytime you want one cause you can't afford that crap! lol. Same with the cigs.
I quit smoking cigars cause i realized i started doing it out of habit not cause i wanted one.
i didn't limit myself though. i don't see cold turkey for me... but only the special occasion now, maybe 3 4 times a year have a nice big stogey.
but what i was startin to say is part is the craving..(man up and deal with it) and the other part is breaking the HABIT. it becomes habit after a while just like anyother bad habit starts..cussing(best example i got haha) ... think of it like that i'd say as a bad habit, not as a GOTTA HAVE.. or then you'll think I GOTTA HAVE CAUSE I CAN'T HAVE! we always want what we can't have... ? right ? just some thoughts... sorry sooo long was just sitting here thinkin tonight

Nope Champix. I use it

Edit: Chantix in the states, Champix in Canada and everywhere else, as I just found out on the wonderful world of Google.

So yeah, same thing, it's the only thing that ever worked for me

if you do buy a pack, what if you attached a picture of your grandfather to the cigarettes? then when you go to grab a smoke, you'll be remided of him and the cancer which will probably make you decide not to light up.

Way ahead of ya, man. Got a picture of his medical scan that shows the massive tumor posted in my room on my door, and there's also a copy in my car, just to serve as some "incentive".
