does a world class and a nwc have the same front bearing retainer? the one i have is shot, and can get a free good one off a nwc.

If I remeber correctly...Yes. If it's free, get it and compare before you install.
The main difference in the WC/NWC is gear ratio and small internal parts. On the outside they are basically identical.

i believe the front bearing retainer does interchange. regarding the rest though, there are many changes from the nwc to the wc trans, and internal parts do not interchange. even the cases are different.

Yes they interchange. The 4 banger one has a different size race for the input bearing.
