Hey guys, putting together my R-302 hopefully tomorrow. I bought it from a guy who had it in a renagade car with a vortech so it was pretty much race only from what I could find out. The weird thing is it has NPT plugs in a few of the oil drain holes where the heads bolt onto the block. I didn't match my heads up to see if there were actually drains there or not yet but I was curious to see if anyone has this done or what the reason would be. Is it for the coolant or something else? I hope someone knows what they would be there for cas i'm stumped!

are you talking about NPT plugs in the actual deck of the block? My R-block does not have that

Correct, if i remeber correctly they are on the lower part of the deck twords the center of the motor. But drilled into the deck.. I have no idea what they are even there for, or why they we're drilled in the first place.
