My 05 gt is getting a new differential this friday because of gear whine. How long does it take a dealer to remove and replace a new differential in my car?

does anyone know..

Ya .. the whine is from 60 - 75 mph .. sounds like a big rig with those loud truck tires... let off the gas it goes away instantly....both 4th and 5th gear make the noise..so it aint the tranny...dealer wants to replace the entire rear axle..its on backorder..

another memeber...captainsaveahoe had the same problem but never got back to me on his fix.

from my experience 3-5 hours should be normal if you dont end up needing side shims. otherwise it probably will turn into an overnight situation because most dealers refuse to stock them because they eat up a lot of inventory cash. also there is no way of knowing which shims you will need until you get to that part of the install.
