On the way home from work I lined up with an 01' Camaro SS that had minor bolt ons.

My procharger is off the car getting serviced, so I was running COMPLETELY untuned. I also still have 3.08's and 16x7.5 inch tires...

Well I stuck with him til the 2-3 shift where he pulled like a half a car on me and kept that lead.

I tried to explain that my supercharger was off and he was like ohhh. But he lives down the street from me and I will avenge this!

Actually I'm not really that mad, I'm just mad at myself for racing when my car is not 100%. And I guess also for posting about a street race (seeing as how nobody is replying).

We're not big street race people on here unless its against some stupid ricer (seth's stories or some exotic car) Good run though. What exactly was done to the SS? With different gears you could have defently kept up with him.

Yeah I know that if I had even 3.55's we would've been even.

I just drove by his house and he has a for sale sign on his car. I know that sounds like B.S. but I think he's had it there for a while. I.E. he didn't just start putting the sign on it, just a funny(for me) coincidence.

Seth's stories are very amusing. I can just picture him talking smack with his pimp accent.

I think the s.s. had only catback and 315's(tires) out back but I don't know.

(Shameless bragging)
Also , does a Cayenne Turbo count as exotic? Cause I walked one the other day (with supercharger on) and the guy driving gave me a surprised look and a thumbs up.

hell, i know its frowned on publicly but street racing takes place, A LOT....everynight, in almost every city in the country, and if there is anyone on these forums who has not done it, and not only done it but got "the rush" from it than more power to ya, but i bet they are VERY few and VERY far between.

....its safe to say not to many people can say they have only done it "a couple times" either....we all do it(or have at some point), its nothing to hide....

Yeah, I actaully screw around on the street a whole lot less with my current setup than I did when it was closer to stock. Its seems that I know it gets scary quicker now and my urges are satisfied now just by setting off car alarms and what not.I still feel a great urge however to race every L-S1/L-S6 derivative I encounter that is willing.Probably because I respect them but have to hate them.

Thats odd that happend to me as well. About 5 yrs ago when I first got the car and when it was bone stock down to the air filiter I raced a 94/95 LT1...same results I kept up until he hit 3ed gear then he walked me. Funny thing is that right after that he sold his car as well. He did like my car alot and gave me on it even though he beat me. God what I wouldent do to race him again w/ the way my car is now
