We are in North Carolina visiting all the NASCAR shops. I ran into the 429 Boss featured in all the mags. I'm posting these pics from Roush Fenway Racing.

I have more pics from Henrick, JR Motorsports. Going to meet Kasey Kayne shortly. More pics to come.

Michael Waltrip Racing was the best because you can go anywhere unlike the other shops. We watched them install parts for a few hours.

JR Motorsports, Dale Erarnhardt Jr's Nationwide Racing team. He fields Danica's #7 and Aric Armirola #88.

junior won in that 3 car last year during the July Nationwide last year.

Penske Racing is a giant. They don't build the Indy cars here.

Hendricks Racing fields Dale Jr 88, Jeff Gordon 24, Jimmie Johnson 48 and Mark Martin 5.

Earnhardt Ganassi Racing fields the #1 Jamie McMurray and #42 Juan Pablo Montoya.

I going to remodel my garage. I bought a fender from Gnassi Racing #1 Jamie McMurray car. I'm hanging this from the ceiling. I'm going to Red Bull Racing where they are allowing me to take car parts home. Pics of that tomorrow.

These will go on the walls- Flags and banners.

My collectible 99 Carl Edwards.

My boys go too many things to take pics of.

If your not a NASCAR fan look beyond that, appreciate the shops. The technology is incredible, look how clean the shops are (like a medical clean room) and what they allow their fans to see.

We rolled up to Joe Gibbs racing only to find they don't have tours and their store has limited hours or operation. As we calling in the car Joe Gibbs came out a side door with secretary following him with luggage. He smiled at us while he got in his Lexus. He didn't even have tinted window so anyone can see inside his fish bowl.

My friend works for Kasey Kahne racing and got us signed die cast cards for both boys. We had an exclusive tour of the shop. They build World of Outlaw cars as well as Sprint dirt cars their. They were building a Sprint car for Brad Sweet who is replacing Joey Saldana, injured badly during Eldora race Saturday night.

Looking for more car parts and collectibles for the garage.

Those shops are insane...

The father-in-law is a snap-on franchise owner for over 30yrs now. About 2000 or so several of the franchise owners along with snap-on went to DEI (back when Jr was still there) and several other shops they sponsored. They also hit up the top fuel team and they got to get up close with the teams/drivers...the top fuel team did a burn out in front of the shop and remarked lets see the NASCAR boys top that.

The father-in-laws good buddy's son bought most of Carl Edwards circle track/dirt track stuff to upgrade himself when Carl Edwards moved to NASCAR. They all say Carl Edwards is beyond a genuine down to earth good guy.

Score on the parts, should make some great garage trophies.

Thanks guys. As you know Red Bull is pulling out of NASCAR because they are not a player like they are dominating F1. Going to get some Red Bull Toyota skins to tomorrow at 5pm. Fenders, doors, hoods I hope.

Tomorrow we go to RCR so I should have pics up in the morning. They are the farthest shop.

Change of schedule today. Since RCR is far from Mooresville where we are at we've decided to hit Stewart-Hass Racing. Tony's team won this weekend with Ryan Newman and Tony finished 2nd. Should have pics up in an hour. Tomorrow we hit RCR to see old #3 cars.

Nice. I remember that Boss 429 when they first built it. It ran 11's on stock radials if I remember correctly, and trounced John Colletties Camaro at the same competition.

Over 600ci of awesome.

Yeah 0-60 in 1.9 seconds. Jack Rousch had to have it. I've seen a lot of shops this week but that SN95 was the Holy Grail for me. I've read about it in the rags. Seeing it in person in that shape was incredible.

John Coletti was the Ford SVT guy, the Camaro was John Moss.

That's a neat vacation. I lived in NC for a 4 yrs, but thanks to Mr. Hussein and Mr. bin Laden, was only physically there for 9 months...never got the chance to see any of that stuff. I did get wonderful tours of Iraq, Kuwait and the Stan, bunch of other hot sandy countries...no race museums there though.....

If you're ever in Indianapolis, the track has a cool museum. You can even get a lap in...kinda anti-climatic because you're on a bus...but cool nonetheless. Got to do that back in Jan. of 2010. Went to the Rolls Royce/Allison plant/museum, which is amazing in itself. Had time leftover so we went to the racetrack.....bit of history there.

Enjoy it!

My son and I went on a personal tour of Red Bull Racing after hours. Wish I could tell you all about it but it was top secret. We were blown away.
