Has anyone added a Blend radar mount? If so, what are your thoughts?

I know this is a pretty old thread, but I just ordered mine + mirror tap from Amazon and it's coming between this Friday (7/31) and Wednesday (8/5). Can't wait to get mine set up. I've seen a few other cars with this mount and mirror tap, so I think it'll work out fine.

I'll post back pictures of before, during, and after installation if you're still interested.

I ordered and installed a Blend mount. Works and looks great. Did not need wiring since I have a Solo 3 which is cordless. Had to remove the "clamp" which holds the mirror wire. It unsnaps easily.

Question, how do you like the Solo 3. I'm in the market and have been looking at the 9500IX and the Passport series

I love it since it is battery powered. It works well for me. The fact it is battery powered supposedly reduces its range.

I have one more I will post in a moment. Previous photo was apparently too large.

This photo shows how the bracket attaches to the rear of the mirror. You will want to adjust the detector and then tighten two screws to hold it into place. Removal of the detector is easy and takes only a few seconds. My detector is battery powered. A wiring kit is available that lets you hard wire into the electrical connections behind the mirror. That connects to your detector through what looks like a phone plug leaving the detector even if it is wired easily removable.

Just got mine installed too. Needed some help (unfortunately) because of too much force trying to jam the prongs in :\

I used the stock suction cup mount with the suction cups removed and replaced with 3M double sided trim tape. It is stuck to the black dot area above the mirror. The detector peaks out under the bottom of the dots. It is not visible from out side the car unless you know to look.

I used the Blendmount and MirrorTap double whammy. It looks so much better than it would with the cord hanging down, and I don't have to worry when it gets really hot outside for the suction cups to loosen up. I just replaced my Escort 8500 X50 with a new Beltronics GT-7 (same as Escort Max). I am amazed at how much the technology has improved on the new generation of detectors. Once I get a pic of teh GT-7 mounted on the Blendmount, I'll post it here...
