I'm installing a new aluminum radiator into my 67 Convertible. The car is a ground up resto and I don't have a vehicle to reference. In order to align the fan within the shroud I raised the radiator about 1/2 inch and the cap is about 1 1/4 inch above the radiator support. Most vehicles and photos I see the cap is about 1/2 inch above the support. Does anyone know how much clearance thre is to the hood? If there isn't enough clearance then I'll need to drop the radiator and raise the shroud (by trimming), just more work, not a big deal. Thanks for feedback.

I just mesured out mine if you have a cap with a relief on it it is 1 inch if not then it will be half inch and 3/4 clearence with hood closed tighter with relief cap.
